“You went beyond what was expected and it is much appreciated.”

“Dear Melissa,

I wanted to let you know

just how grateful I am

that you have helped us

out so much.  Thanks to

you I feel really well and

would not have got

through Amber’s

 pregnancy without your

help.  You have saved our

family many times over!

You are very talented at

your work and we

appreciate you so

much."

“I began seeing Melissa while I was pregnant with my first child. She was recommended to me by a friend. I had been looking for a massage therapist who was skilled at working with pregnant women. Melissa immediately made me feel relaxed and nurtured. She had lots of soft pillows to make me comfortable on the massage table, which really helped especially towards the end of my pregnancy. I found the massages to be a lovely way to unwind and deal with the little niggles that came up during pregnancy. I have since recommended her to other pregnant friends and now that I have had my son, I enjoy being able to lie on my belly for massages!”

Prenatal Care

Pregnancy is a time of major structural, physiological, spiritual and social change. Some of these changes produce discomforts and concerns. Here at bodyhealth clinic, simple treatments of homeopathy and specialised pregnancy massages provide comfort, support and a sense of nurturing.

Homeopathy during Pregnancy

Is safe and effective to use from conception, during the birth, and after.

It is an effective treatment for those nagging ailments such as morning sickness, nausea and headaches,, backaches, fatigue, heartburn, urogenital tract symptoms, thrush, incontinence, colic, constipation, cravings, skin changes, emotional difficulties, sore nipples, mastitis childbirth & also for treating your baby.

Massage during Pregnancy

Your pregnancy is a very important stage in your life. It is a time to look after your health and well being, for you and your growing baby.

Most mums-to-be quickly discover the demands associated with pregnancy. As your baby grows, your centre of gravity shifts.

This results in an increase of pressure on all of your joints, in particular your feet, legs, shoulders, lower back and neck. This pressure causes an array of symptoms including tightening of muscles, sciatic pain, numbness, headaches and backaches. Massage during pregnancy has many health benefits including reducing oedema and high BP, relieving varicose veins and increasing movement of the circulatory and lymphatic systems. It can help boost your immune system, therefore protecting you and your baby’s health, soothe and relax nervous tension, which helps the mother sleep more easily & deeply & helps you to relax (which is vital during labour), relieves depression or anxiety caused by hormonal changes that the mother may be experiencing. It also relieves many of the normal discomforts during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches, and sore swollen ankles, feet & hands, provides emotional support and physical nurturing, helps to maximise your breathing capacity which is particularly important during the last trimester.

Reflexology during Pregnancy

Reflexology involves massage and manipulation of the feet, based on the premise that different areas of the feet correspond to different areas of the body.

The principle behind the treatment is rebalancing the body’s energies. Reflexology will aid pregnancy by stimulating the liver, endocrine glands and lymphatic drainage. Attention is paid to the pelvic and reproductive areas. It is normally recommended that, where the mother-to-be has not received reflexology previously, she waits for week 16 before commencing treatment. Reflexology is very useful for the following: morning sickness, nausea and vomiting, constipation, indigestion and heartburn, swollen ankles, anxiety, insomnia, high blood pressure and depression.

"a friend referred me to Melissa in

2005 - the most worthwhile referral

I have received.  I was pregnant and

very worried about having a stranger

massage me.  I have since referred

Melissa to family and friends across

Adelaide without hesitation.  My

pregnant friends were so grateful. I

look forward to every visit."
